Happy Organized Ready Students Everyday.

This year your child will be given a very special HORSE. They are to bring it to school every single day and take it home each night. The HORSE will be a tool to help your child learn the important skill of organization and will be a communication device between home and school.
Your child's HORSE has several important features. There will be a homework pocket where homework and the assignment sheet will be placed. Next, inside your HORSE you will find your HORSES'S 'Saddle Bag'. The Saddle Bag is an velcroed sheet protector where you can send important things to school such as permission slips, picture money, absence excuses, lunch money, and book orders. Your HORSE will help these items get to school safely. The HORSE Rules and Spellers Choice Activities will also be inside the Saddle Bag.
There will also be sheets of notebook paper for parent/teacher communication. If you need to let me know important imformation please write a note and date it and I will check these daily. Please leave all communication inside the HORSE so we will have a record if we need to look back on any of our notes.
Finally, your will find a Friday Pocket toward the rear of the HORSE. It will have a packet of all their good work for the week. Stapled on the front of the packet will be a page for you to sign after you review the work with your child. Your HORSE should be ready to come back to school on Monday with the work packet in the Friday pocket. Please return all work the following Monday. Feel free to make corrections because the grades will already have been recorded. All work will be sent home to stay at the end of each 9wk grading period.
